Help Me Bring Light to Families Facing Childhood Cancer

Join My Journey
This October, I have the incredible opportunity to serve as a volunteer at the Sunrise Retreat with Lighthouse Family Retreats. This week-long retreat provides rest, connection, and healing for families who have lost a child to cancer - families who are walking through unimaginable grief and heartache.
The retreat offers a safe and loving space where parents and siblings can:
✨ Remember and celebrate their child’s life
✨ Experience comfort in community with others who understand
✨ Find strength, hope, and encouragement for the journey ahead
When I heard about the Sunrise Retreat, I felt deeply called to volunteer and support families in finding peace, joy, and restoration.
But I can’t do this alone. To attend and serve as a volunteer, I need to raise $1,700 to help Lighthouse Family Retreat continue offering this life-changing experience to grieving families at no cost to them.
By giving, you’re not just supporting me, you’re directly blessing families who need light in their darkest season. Your donation makes it possible for parents and siblings to find hope, healing, and community when they need it most.
THANK YOU  for your consideration in helping make a difference in our own community.
How You Can Support
Donations
Every gift matters.
Whether it’s $25, $100, or more, your generosity will ripple through the lives of these families.
Any amount is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for helping make a difference in our community.
What is Lighthouse?

We strengthen families living through childhood cancer by providing restorative retreats and helpful resources.

This year in the United States, more than 15,000 families will hear the unbelievable news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer. As they make their way through treatment, they will face a thousand battles aside from the one happening with their kid’s cellular biology. Mounting medical costs can be overwhelming on their own, and even more so, with one of the parents quitting their job to manage the care. Siblings might feel loneliness from an understandable lack of attention.

Because of these realities and so many more, the family unit bears unimaginable weight and is exposed to profound risk. And that’s just not going to work for us.

Lighthouse Family Retreat is a faith-based non-profit that exists to strengthen every family living through childhood cancer. We host restorative retreats and develop helpful resources so that families and their support systems can find hope in God and help in their fight.

Meet Jen
Hi, I’m Jen - a Brain Health & Performance Strategist, proud mom, and community leader with a heart for serving others. Giving back has always been a central part of my life, and I find true purpose in supporting families during some of their most challenging seasons.

Whether I’m volunteering with the Special Needs Ministry at my church, serving with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, or walking alongside families through Lighthouse Retreats, my goal is always the same: to bring comfort and joy where it’s needed most. Every opportunity to serve is a gift - one that reminds me of the importance of the human connection and the power of community.

When I am not volunteering, I am scaling multiple businesses, investing in my health, and playing with my children. As the founder and CEO of Resilience Rewired, LLC - I teach healthy habits to optimize focus, brain health, performance, and happiness. I also lead a local community of women - She Means Business - in Apex, NC - a group where ambitious women come together to learn, inspire, and support each other.

I’m excited to announce that I am working to launch my own non-profit dedicated to helping children with critical illnesses. It is my life's mission to shine light and create meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Thank you for being a part of my journey!

Thank you for your contribution and for helping make this powerfully transformative opportunity become a reality!
